San Francisco SPCA Welcomes New Vice President of Hospital Administration

San Francisco, Calif., Apr 28 2011: The San Francisco SPCA today announced the hiring of Kanishka Agarwal as the organization’s vice president of hospital administration. In this role, Kanishka will oversee all aspects of the SF SPCA Veterinary Hospital and Spay/Neuter Clinic. He will report directly to Co-Presidents Dr. Jennifer Scarlett and Jason Walthall. His hiring is effective immediately.

“Many of us have had the opportunity to work with Kanishka and know what a great match he is for the SF SPCA,” Walthall said. “Kanishka’s professional management expertise combined with his passion for the animal welfare community makes him the perfect fit to lead our hospital moving forward and continue our mission of saving and protecting animals.”

Kanishka brings more than 15 years of professional experience growing organizations and strengthening teams. Most recently, he served as global senior vice president at The Nielsen Company where he was responsible for the company’s global mobile media and advertising measurement business. Kanishka recently served as a volunteer board member with the SF SPCA, focused on program costing, fundraising platforms and hospital marketing strategy. He also served as a volunteer board member of the East Bay SPCA from 1999 to 2000, where he helped design the programs and services for the Tri-Valley facility.

Kanishka lives in San Francisco. He obtained a master’s in business administration from Stanford University and a master’s in engineering from Harvey Mudd College.
