Loose Leash Walking & Heeling
Does your dog walk you instead of the other way around? Try our Loose Leash Walking & Heeling Class! Dogs will practice paying attention to their owners and walking nicely on leash despite interesting distractions. Handlers will learn how to increase their awareness of environmental distractions by "thinking like a dog" and develop skills to motivate their dogs to maintain their attention. Dogs should be people and dog friendly and have completed a Just the Basics course or equivalent.
Frequency & Duration: 1 hour per week for 3 weeks
Course includes: Homework and certificate of completion
Fee: $70 ($50 if you have taken another SF SPCA class in the past 6 months)
Location: 243 Alabama Street
Course prerequisites: Successful completion of a Basic-level training course or equivalent.
