Our shelter generally requires one to be 18 years of age or older to qualify to volunteer. However, we are able to extend the opportunity and privilege of joining our shelter cat or dog volunteer teams to mature, responsible, enthusiastic, and highly committed young adults.

Just the Basics with a tiny twist! This beginner-level training course is tailored for dogs that weigh 20 pounds or less. This unique course covers sit, stay, come, and walking on leash with a little dog focus in mind. In addition, students will learn valuable tips on keeping small dogs safe in the city and travel training.
