Lisa Killian, DVM

Vice President of Veterinary Hospital Medicine

Prior to joining the San Francisco SPCA as our Vice President of Veterinary Hospital Medicine, Dr. Killian spent nearly five years as the medical director at a multi-unit pet hospital in the midwest. Over the course of her career, she has coached, mentored and partnered over 500 veterinarians and support staff across 50+ hospitals. She received her DVM from Texas A&M University in 1999.

Dr. Killian and her husband and daughter are the guardians of a 13-year-old Siamese rescue named Bateman and a 7-year-old Doberman pinscher named Wendy, who was found on a highway in Houston after Hurricane Rita. They're loving the Bay Area and are proud to be part of the community.
