Winter weather has arrived in the Bay Area! But even if it’s raining cats and dogs, you can still provide enriching activities that will keep your furry friend fulfilled. Here are a few ways to stimulate your pet’s mind and keep them active indoors.
Bubbles – Blow pet-safe bubbles in the kitchen or anywhere that won’t damage your floors. Watch your pet swipe, bite, bounce, and play as the bubbles float and disappear. Whether or not this is the first time you’ve tried bubbles, your pet will be riveted.
Cuddle up on the Couch – This one is self-explanatory and so worthwhile. When it’s raining and the cold is creeping in, consider giving your cat or dog a well-deserved cuddle session. Pull out a warm blanket, choose a feel-good film, and relax with your cat purring by your side. Happiness achieved.
Puzzle Toys – These toys are a great way to stimulate your pet’s mind and keep them engaged and entertained. You can buy pre-made puzzles with a variety of compartments designed to hide treats—even stuffed animals with pockets!
Anything you do with your pet, from snacks to snuggles, will strengthen the bond you share. Enjoy being together this winter!
